Lifeboat Drill Timing After Two-day Stay In Venice?

Recommended Posts

We are on Insignia next week, and want to arrange a sail-away party.

The ship is alongside for one night after embarkation, departing the next day at 5pm.

Does anyone know when the lifeboat drill will be held? We don't want our sail-away party on the second day to conflict or be interrupted.

Thanks for any info.

I have experienced this type situation before a few years ago on Regatta. We boarded in Istanbul; & sailed the the next evening. Our lifeboat drill was 30-45 mins. before departure. That doesn't mean yours will; but I'd say the chances are good that it will be. Hope that helps you some.

I agree, we did the Venice departure on Insignia last month. The lifeboat drill was held before they left the dock in Venice. It did not conflict with the departure through the canal and out of Venice. That is a spectacular departure, plan to be on deck at least part of the time.
