Rowan555 Posted July 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Search isn't working for me - just wanted to know if I can get bottled water with the soda card. Also, I know this is a long shot, but do they happen to have caffeine free diet coke in any of the beverage service locations? We're cruising on the Fantasy, thinking about a soda card for the first time - but I can't have sugar or caffeine, so my options are limited. mudpievelour Posted July 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 29, 2008 No, you cannot get bottled water with the card. We were told that there were no caffeine free drinks except sprite and diet sprite aboard, so we brought our own caffeine free diet cokes. If you're not into Sprite, like us, I suggest you do the same.
SATXLady Posted July 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2008 No bottled water with the fountain fun card. I have seen Sprite Zero on board as an option.

Rowan555 Posted July 29, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Yes, I normally just drink the filtered water, and it works just fine.
MizzCard Posted July 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted July 29, 2008 No bottled water with the fountain card. The water on board is great..just bring an inexpensive travel mug with ya and fill it up with ice & water. I also bring some of the little Cyrstal Lite packets...cause I'm not much of a water drinker anyway
lesley74 Posted July 29, 2008 #8 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Anyone know how much the soda cards are? I read on another forum $20, but I don't know if they meant for the whole cruise? We're going on the triumph for 7 nights in November.

We're going on the triumph for 7 nights in November. soda cards are $6.00 a day for adults and $4.25 a day for kids. They also add on 15% gratuity to the total and if you buy it before the ship leaves port you are also charged sales tax. Bill

lesley74 Posted July 29, 2008 #11 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Thank you! Do you buy them daily, or do you have to buy for the remainder of your trip at the time of purchase?
MizzCard Posted July 29, 2008 #12 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Thank you! Do you buy them daily, or do you have to buy for the remainder of your trip at the time of purchase? Buy for the remainder of the cruise...usually there's a cut off for the last day you can purchase.

They do have caffeine free diet coke.
LornaT Posted July 29, 2008 #14 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Bottled is not covered by the Fountain Card. But the Lido deck has ice dispensers and water taps (I drink it all the time, tastes great to me) plus any of the bars (including in the casino) will give you a glass of ice tap water for the asking (make sure you say TAP water) at no charge. Rowan555 Posted July 29, 2008 Author #16 Share Posted July 29, 2008 Thanks for all the replies. Here's the situation - we're going on a group cruise that requires us to purchase the open bar cards, but due to my inability to have sugar, they were able to give us a waiver and we don't have to get the alcohol card - but we DO have to get the soda card. I found out about the soda card after booking, so I'm pretty much stuck getting it. I'm just trying to make the best out of it and see what my options are. If I have to, I'll drink Sprite Zero all day and night, just to get my money's worth ;)

Name Of The Game Posted August 8, 2008 #19 Share Posted August 8, 2008 Fountain cards are a waste of money. you'll just be drinking a ton of soda to get your money's worth. If your thirsty just grab the free lemonade, is better anyway.

It may not be worth it for you, but for others, who enjoy drinking lots of pop on vacation, it is certainly worth it.
MsShel330 Posted August 9, 2008 #21 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Granted, it was 2006 when we sailed, but they did have caffeine free Diet cola. That's my mother's drug of choice so I made note of that.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty much in the same boat so to speak.:(
lesley74 Posted August 9, 2008 #23 Share Posted August 9, 2008 What is this Crystal Lite stuff? I did a search and it sounds like it's something you mix with water for flavour....I don't much like plain water either, so I usually add some summer fruit squash to it, but if this is a powder maybe I can buy some in Vegas in September and take it with me in November for the cruise? (We're from UK, hence never having heard of this stuff and maybe picking it up in Vegas). Are the sachets powder or liquid? Does it taste ok? Chan_T Posted August 9, 2008 #24 Share Posted August 9, 2008 Check out this site - Crystal Light. Also, the packets are in powder form. As for the taste, (like everything else) it is subjective. My Mom and sister, who drink diet drinks, like it. I rarely drink sodas, but, when I do, they are not diet...and Crystal Light is just ok to me.
