Has "ANYONE" won on Carnivals Casinos???

If this counts... I played slots as much as I wanted last week and I came home with $10.18 more than I spent in the casino. For me, that's a huge win!

well i have two little stories,one is ok and the other sucks lol

 

i'll start with the half ok one first. On our cruise on the valor in 2006 i hit $998 on the 2cent slot machines. I won it on the second night, and we were on a back to back thus, 12 nights left. Needless to say over the 12 remaining nights, the 1000 was given back to the casino, however I still look at it as winning. Had i not won that, i would had definately spent several hundred dollars over the two weeks, def not put 1000 in but certainly several hundred so i take the positive out of it and say well we had two free weeks of gambling, and im sure we likely spent a bit here and there in ports or whatever, as they gave us cash. in the end we were up simply because we werent down after two weeks of casino play here and there.

I had been playing a slot machine but eyeing a machine next to me that someone else was playing.. couldnt wait for him to get off so i could move.. well.. sure enough he did leave and sure enough i grabbed his machine real quick, just that i loved the particular game.

 

Two nice elderly ladies come by, stop at my machine that i just left, and on their third pull of the handle, hit $5000 jackpot. I almost fainted I almost screamed but i had to smile and say oh nice!.. they were sweet indeed, i dont think they even realized what they won or what they were doing, just happened along very graciously and tried a few spins. I didnt mention that i had just left the machine or anything, simply congratulated them.... but..

 

I dont know how many times i found 1001 if onlys.. if only i didnt change machines, if only that guy didnt leave, if only he had played for another three minutes i would had still been on my machine, why did he leave when he did. etc etc etc... but.. it wasnt meant to be waaa :eek:

 

When leaving a machine, I always try to go where I can't see it (at least for a while)!

Just got back from a back-to-back on the Carnival Conquest. On Friday during the first week of our cruise, I was playing the .25 Video Poker (Progressive Machines) Dueces Wild and hit a natural Royal Flush for $2,227.50. That was fun! On the second week of our cruise, I had my raffle ticket chosen in the casino and got to "spin the wheel." On the spin I won $50 cash. Several years ago on the Conquest, I also hit a Royal Flush on the nickle poker muli-play machines.

 

On the second week of our back-to-back while I was playing the .05 multi-play poker machines, a woman behind me was playing KENO on the poker machines and won over $3,000.

 

Last year on the Miracle, I was playing both penny and nickle slots during the day. I decided to play one line at max bet of 30 x 1 and won like 18,000 credits because I hit some wild cards. I was very happy thinking I had just won $180 on a crazy bet. I then remembered that I wasn't playing the penny slots this was one of the nickle slots, and I had won $900 on my crazy bet! That was fun.

Last year on the Legend I won with the first $1.00 pull $1,350.00, my husband then it $800.00 on dollar slots and then again I hit $500.00 on the 4th $.25 pull I then another $400.00 and then my husband another $250.00 all within 3 hours. We were over joyed and when we arrived back home we booked our cruise on the Victory for Sept.13th of this year. So yes you can win, but I will agree it is few and far between on most cruise ships.

Let's put it this way. IF I had had sense enough to cash out when I was ahead, I would have won money. But it's not often that I can tear myself away when I'm winning. :rolleyes: However, I did cash out at the end of one cruise with over $800 from the penny slots. That's the best I've done. Last week, I cashed out with $85, but I won't tell you how much it cost me to win that. :o They announced on the Conquest last month (3/22/09 sailing) that a lady had won the BMW on the last night. I didn't see her win it, but I assume they wouldn't lie about it.

I have won alot on carnival I have gotten more than 8 royal flushes. In fact I have gotten 2 Royals on a single cruise twice! BUT I play play play, upwards on 6 hours a day. I also play the slots, Carib Stud(4 of a kind twice) and Let it Ride( 4 of a kind once for $2250.00)On that particular trip I also hit two $1000.00 Royals plus a slot for $900.00. I left that cruise a big winner. I have hit an $8000.00 Royal on one trip plus beat a slot machine for over $1500.00 and got 4 of a kind on Carib Stud. Left that cruise a winner. BUT I have had losses and big losses, so I am not quitting my day job just yet.

On my cruise in Feb on the Glory I won $1700 on a quarter slot first night onboard and never went back! When I got home I booked my cruise on the Victory :)

Hey folks! Im interested in hearing anyone that has won BIG in one of Carnivals ships in the Casino??? I dont think Ive ever heard of anyone winning big even though the Capers claims some jackpots are worth $100,000 plus at times. Has anyone won over $10000 ???? Wonder if Carnival rig there slots to their favour. I also wonder WHOM regulate them ????? Thanks Mikil

I saw some framed photos in the casino on Fascination last month of people holding large checks; for example holding a check for choosing the cash option for winning the car. These were the large checks like the lottery uses for photo ops. Can't remember exactly how much they were for, but it was the cash equivalent of winning the car.

 

I've won several slot machine jackpots in the $1000 to $1200 range. My niece won a$1000 jackpot on Fascination in April on a Flaming 7's quarter machine.

On the old Pacific Princess (the Love Boat) I won the Black Jack Tourny for $500 left the casino met the DW at Bingo played one card and won another $250..This year on HAL's Volendam I also wont the Black Jack Tourny for $500 so all in all I have done OK although I usualy just put it all back into the casino;)

I would like to know, specifically, if anyone has hit a Royal Flush on a Video Poker machine on a Carnival ship. I have hit several quads (four of a kinds) but have never hit, nor seen anyone who has hit, the Royal.

 

 

I have!! I hit on the Mariner in '07 on the last night. I won 1164.00 dollars.

 

I also got a Royal Flush on the Fascination this past March but was betting very small and only won 200.00 dollars, but I was still thrilled.

 

The first time I hit it, I had no idea what was happening. (obviously, we're not big gamblers!) I just sort of looked around to find my husband, who had JUST wandered off to play something else. The older gentleman beside me was kind enough to recognize that I was clueless and asked what my husband looked like and his name. He then went around the casino until he found him. My husband came running over and was as excited as I was! They came over and took my info and gave me a piece of paper with my winnings, which I cashed in at the window. It was great! :D

watch and learn how to play table games. at some point my husband and i always do well at the craps table and usually end up going home even - which with gambling is a win. take the lessons they offer for the table games and you won;t feel so intimidated - then go try them - they are alot of fun and your money usually lasts longer then at the slots.
