spyslick1 Posted August 12, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2008 I get into FLL in the morning and I have been looking for a hotel to book and all I see is a 3pm check in. Does anyone know of a hotel that checks in early then 3pm. Also does anyone have any advice to get check in earlier then 3pm.

Suzanne123 Posted August 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 12, 2008 -- Or you could ask the hotel to store your luggage so you can walk around prior to check in. Many hotels have rooms for storing luggage. It's worth a call to find out.
pba20493 Posted August 12, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 12, 2008 Generally, if a hotel has rooms available they will check you in. You may not always get the same room type that you asked for. I work at a hotel at the front desk. Best thing to do is call the hotel directly, dont use the central reservation number. Ask the person on the phone if it is possible to c/i early. Here's another trick. DO NOT USE EXPEDIA or any other type of website that says you can book a hotel cheaper. If you call the hotel directly, you will most always get a better rate. I asked a guest last night what the price they paid was. It was our rack rate ( highest ). He had AAA and AARP so he would have gotten a 10% discount. But he thought he was getting a deal over the net. Tim
stoneharborlady Posted August 12, 2008 #7 Share Posted August 12, 2008 Last July my check in at Lago Mar was 3. I phoned them the week before, told them my plane was arriving at 10. They said they would do their best to have my room ready- and it was!! Karen
