JosieRhodes Posted August 26, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2008 Maybe this is answered somewhere else, but can't seem to find via trying to search. I am interesting in people's opinions on which ship of any line has the best pools WITH a water slide. Any input greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. WeBeGone Posted August 26, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 26, 2008 I think Carnival ships are the ones with water slides.
firefly333 Posted August 26, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 26, 2008 All the Fantasy class ships will get the new water works on Carnival, two ships at least already have it. The new Dream has some sort of waterworks, since its not sailing yet, havent seen it. All carnival ships have slides. Some dont go into the water I believe, will be on conquest a week from sunday, so will see that one for sure.
slk230 Posted August 26, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 26, 2008 I consider a lot of things when selecting a cruise ship but I couldn't imagine choosing a ship based on the slide!
GORDONCHICK Posted August 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 27, 2008 Conquest has a slide, but it is not into a pool. There is a very small, deep-ish pool about 6 feet from the landing of the slide, then the larger one is about a half a level down. DS loved the water slide. trish1c Posted August 28, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 28, 2008 NCL's Gem has a water slide. I did not like it. I felt every metal seam, bolt & rivet joint on my way down. I did it twice & felt beat up both times. It's a cute novelty on a cruise ship but I have nothing to compare it to other than slides on land, which I enjoy. I am not anxious to repeat the experience. Mats could probably improve the experience. NCL, are you listening / reading?

Cuizer2 Posted August 28, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2008 All Carnival ships have a slide an adult can use. None of Royal Caribbean's ships have a slide an adult can use. Here are some photos ... Carnival Glory, a Conquest class ship ... The Carnival Victory had a similar looking slide (but I have not finished sorting my Carnival Victory photos yet). NCL Star ... The NCL Jade had one (not two) similar looking slide mid ship between the two pools. Carnival Pride - a Spirit class ship ... The Fantasy class ships are getting new slides. I don't have a photo of the new Fantasy class slides yet. The Radiance class ships have a slide, but it is only for small children. Here is the one on the Serenade ...
