maureencruiser Posted September 6, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Hello, folks, I am a Diamond member, but, have never had a balcony cabin. The website says you get a discount on balconies and suites, but, it doesn't say how much. Search is down so I hoped I could get an answer from one of you..Thanks..Maureen

Honey's Gal Posted September 6, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 6, 2008 I believe the discounts apply after reaching Platinum status. The discount is a nice to have. We have had a few long cruises and the discount per cabin is $300. Works for me. You can also use a discount coupon if one is offered for that cruise. maureencruiser Posted September 6, 2008 Author #9 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Thanks, everybody! That is a pretty generous discount. I guess I will have to start looking for my next cruise! Who am I kidding? I'm always planning my next cruise-and I know you all are, too..Maureen
Alexis Posted September 6, 2008 #10 Share Posted September 6, 2008 When you book your cruise, either with a TA or through RCCL, you must ask for the discount. Do not expect to get it taken off unless you do. A lot of the times the RCCL agent will connect you with the C & A department. Sometimes they are not open at night and you have to call back yourself. Here is the Crown and Anchor number to call and ask for it. 1-800-526-9723
wrp96 Posted September 6, 2008 #11 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Also, if you book the cruise, and then later become platinum (or diamond), you can always call and have the additional discount added to your reservation.
6MonthsHere6MonthsThere Posted September 6, 2008 #12 Share Posted September 6, 2008 Question!!! If you book a cruise within a few weeks of departure and you have to pay the total cost there and then whether you book on line with RCCL, direct with RCCL on the phone or through a TA, How do you get your balcony discount credited to you once you have rang the C&A to get it applied, do they put it back on your credit card or can you get it as Onboard Credit!! If you book online then call C&A, they should credit the money back to your card ... or you could just call them to make the booking.
