On the carnival Glory now.

After a short delay yesterday we arrived at the port at 12pm and were onboard by 12.30 and we set sail at 4pm as scheduled!

Had a drink of the day yesterday which was the funship special? and it was gooood!

Ate the buffet for lunch and just kind of wandered!

The glory is not as grand as the liberty but still amazing!

Dinner was lovely.

I had the vegetable fritters to begin, steak with mac and cheese and then a vanilla creme brulee and melting chocolate cake!! mmmmmm. Other options for starters were chicken tenders, shrimp cocktail, asparagus soup and gaspacho that i remember. Main there was a pasta dish, ribs, shrimp tempura.

Lost $50 in the casino and did a bit of shopping!

Today got up and hit the gym and then went for breakfast which was nice and fresh. No crazy long lines and no line pushers that i saw!

Day at sea today so gunna hit the deck for some sun get a carribean breeze cocktail which looks good also.

Theres a dodgeball comp that b/f wants to take part in a 4pm and i am definitely going to check out team time!

Dont quite know why im typing this, might help someone, im just super excited!! haha.

Hey thanks for the replies! Im sure you will all be there soon!

Back from the glory today and i am slightly depressed!:(

Although we have a week in florida, so not too bad!

Will post pictures when i am back and when i can figure it out!

We sailed Western - here is some of the information i can think of now!

Our cruise director was butch and i thought he was pretty good. Always friendly and such.

All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and curtious except one of our dining room staff. He was nice the first night and then miserable the rest of the cruise?? We asked him if he was alright and he just grunted! Never mind it didnt ruin my cruise.

I was in room 7317 (Cat 11) and my parents were in 7315 (cat 12). Both rooms were fantastic and i cant say enough for the jacuzzi type bath. Lovely after a tiring day in port!

WEATHER

Was brillant all week except the last day at sea (Thursday) when it was grey and miserable. Didnt cause too much bother, just chilled, ate far too much, played bingo ect!

FOOD

Was again brilliant. Ate in the dining room sat, mon, tues, wed. Buffet the rest of the time. Didnt do the formal nights as that is just not us (no abuse please!) Also on some nights the boys wore jeans in the dining room with smart shirts. There were lots of people and the dress ranged from short up to smart suits. Didnt bother me either way as long as i was having fun!

Things i would reccomend from my party were

Starters - chicken breast with thai spices, wild mushroom cream soup, thai soup, jerked pork loin, french onion soup

Main - Filet mingnon (lovely) any of the steaks really fantastic, pork chops (wed night), Rack of lamb (Wed) my favourite! Tom turkey (Tue i think!)

Dessert - where do i start!! Creme brulee the first night, wow. Bitter and blanc wow, apple pie, good. Tiramasu - apparantantly great! And of course chocolate melting cake to go with it every time! Oh and a scoop of butter pecan!

PORTS

Mexico was our first port and on recommendations from CC we went to paradise beach! If you have not made up your mind yet and want an amazing day, do this! Lovely people, good food and fun. I got a massage for $1 a min which was fab. My brother and b/f rented a yet ski $55 half hour. Dad and brother parasailed for $110 for both. They said this was one of the highlights of the trip! Also we got wristbands for the toys, i spent most of the time sunbathing of the big floating thing in the middle. It really is like a paradise.

For 5 people with drinks (including alcohol), full meals and wrist bands it was around $220 (not including taxi, parasail, massage and jet ski) which to me is good.

One of my fav things of the trip.

Hondorus - Booked with Victor Bodden, again recommended from here, another great choice. William was our driver and we did the 'best of tour'

Saw shipwrecks and the beautiful island, visited an iguana farm and went ot a beach, think it was bananrama (maybe someone can confirm this?) According to my dad this is the nearest to paradise. Beautiful soft sand bright blue sea. Again food was good and william sat and watched our stuff while we relaxed and went in the sea.

We also went to Victors house and the boys went ziplining. We were wary afther stories of a lady passing away but it was completely safe and had two lines. A young lad was there guide (whoo looked a bit young but was apparantly really professional)

Belize

We did the carnival Altun Ha and City tour, not much to see in the city but the guides were fab filling us in on everything about belize and if history is your thing the mayan ruins are breathtaking, literally if you climb the big one! Not much to do at the port and i wouldnt liked to have wandered out alone so i would say definitely book something to do here!

Bahamas

Didnt book anything here just went to port lucaya shopping village with is a $5 per person cab drive and 15 mins. Just your normal t-shirts and hats here. We ended up in the casino and my dad was moaning as he had put so much in the casino on the ship and had won nothing (my b/f had won $1200 the day before on a poker machine royal flush and was gloating, never seen one before). 30 seconds later bam $4000 royal flush on video poker we were in shock as were the casino staff! Dad shut up after that!

Casino

Good casino i enjoyed the slots, boys mainly played 3 card poker and carribean stud??

Carlos the casino host was lovley and friendly!

Cant really think of much else to write right now! But i am happy to answer anyones questions about anything i can!

Oh yeah and if anyone saw the crazy english girl in a bathrobe taking pictures of the dining room menu to take back and show her lazy family around 6pm every night, so they could decide if they wanted to eat there, before discovering it was on the menu on the tv, that was me!

haha.

Thanks for your review, glad you had so much fun.

I could almost hear your British accent as I was reading. What fun!
