Merrilymeggily Posted November 2, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2004 Can anyone tell me what to expect weather wise when I head to Bermuda in may on the Zenith? Temps? Water temps? Will we be comfortable swimming in the pools and the ocean or snorkeling, laying on the beach? Thanks! Meg
ajpack Posted November 2, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2004 Can't help with the answer, but we're going on May 21 on the Zenith. How about you? Anne

lblk Posted November 2, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 2, 2004 We were in Bermuda in 2003 (May 10 Horizon saling) and the weather was great. Temperatures were in the high 70's/low 80's. Water temps were comfortable - not like bath water, but comfortable. We had no rain at all.
jerseygirl3 Posted November 3, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2004 It can be hit or miss. Friends of ours went in mid-May and the weather was very cool. It never got warmer than the low 70's and frequently was in teh mid to high 60's and the water was too cold to swim in. They said next time they'll wait until further into the summer before going. sweetdardar Posted November 3, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 3, 2004 I have cruised to bermuda three times in May and have never had weather that was cold. According to the locals,May is a great time to go on a cruise to Bermuda as most people who have children and are going to stay on the island itself wait until summer months so the cruisers have the island to themselves. I have always spent time at the beach and managed to get quite the tan and a little burn before coming home.
smj Posted November 3, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 3, 2004 I have been in May and the weather was great but the water was much too cold for me. I never got wet other than my feet.

marco Posted November 3, 2004 #10 Share Posted November 3, 2004 We go frequently in May or Sept. Not as many kids on board as in Jun/Jul/Aug. Air temp in May is quite comforatable and no humidity. Water temp was fine for swimming in the ocean, and onboard, it is heated in the pools. May is very lush and green and IMHO "prettier" than Sept particularly if they have had a hot, dry summer. Of course, the later in May you are leaving, the warmer it will be.
