Do you get "the hots" on Ryndam?

I have been reading some CCrs reviews of recent Ryndam cruises and one thing seems to stand out.

 

There are reports that the air conditioning in the cabins is very "hit and miss" and some can not get their cabin cool at all !! We will be sailing to the Mexican Riviera in April 09 and I imagine the temps will be quite hot ( please correct me if I am wrong ) I hate sleeping in a "hot'" room at night.

We are booked in H/C cabin #390 on the lower promenade deck.

 

Have any recent Ryndam cruisers had problems with the cabin temp' control, if so was it fixed or did you have to put up with it throughout the cruise? :eek:

I did get several cases of "the hots" on my recent Ryndam cruise, but that has more to do with my having "personal summer moments" lately, than the ship. I still am having the "hots" even though I have left the ship.

We found that when we were docked, the A/C wasn't as effective. We'd have it set as "cool" as possible, and it would feel approx 78 F. Once we got underway, though, it worked better.

We have been fortunate to have cabins that were cool at night when we sailed on the Ryndam -- not cold -- just cool.

But we also noticed that when the ship was in port, the air as "weak".

I think the Ryndam is the hottest ship I've been on. I had real issues with the A/C that they couldn't seem to correct. I was on the lower prom deck aft. My room was hot but not as bad as the several cabins futher back from me.
