volive Posted November 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Does my wife have to have some documentation to prove who she is? Her Driver's License is in her married name and her Birth Certificate is in her Maiden, does she have to have something to link the two together? :o Going on the Conquest 11/14 :D Where up late packing...
GoinCruisin Posted November 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Can you take a copy of your marriage license just in case? Some people have had no problems, but there have been a few on here that have had problems... I'm sure it will work out fine though... This was one of the main reasons that I used my maiden name as my middle name for my DL and Passport... makes life so much easier! I'm sure you will be fine, but it would not hurt to take a copy of the marriage license... good luck!

serene56 Posted November 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 12, 2004 If your drivers license matches what is on the documents she will be fine.

angie2003 Posted November 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Just as an FYI - in RI I know that Town hall eventually gets copies of all marriages of residents no matter where they got married - this might be the case in your state as well, if you would feel better about taking a copy - you could call town hall and they might be able to get you one today. Have a great trip :)
betsyrossapk Posted November 12, 2004 #7 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Just went thru Carnival process last week. I am married, birth certificate is obviously maiden name. As long as the driver's license birth date matches the birth certicate birth date, you would not have a problem. I went thru the process no problem without a marriage certificate. sea_u_onboard Posted November 12, 2004 #8 Share Posted November 12, 2004 Betsy is correct - as long as the drivers license date of birth and the first name match then you will have no problems. They do realize that when I woman gets married that in most cases she does take her husbands last name. A passport is the way to go.
