spirit317 Posted January 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 6, 2009 I thing I need help. We are doing a pre-cruise trip to Rome April 25th for five days and then a 10 day cruise of the Western Med. I've been grabbing up sales on spring clothing and now find out that I should be buying fall clothing. I do need help which is it? Either way, I love sales! cb at sea Posted January 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Why would you need Fall clothing?
6rugrats Posted January 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Why would you need Fall clothing? Agree, Med is in the northern hemisphere and it's spring there in April.
KandCsailing Posted January 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 7, 2009 Rome is about the same latitude as Toronto, Canada; but is usually a little warmer (closer to New York weather) according to my Italian DH.
Host Star Posted January 7, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 7, 2009 we were in rome the end of april and beginning of May last year and it was very warm..sometimes the temp. hit the 90's... spring and summer clothes should be fine.. you will have a jacket or sweater i'm sure in case you need it for the evening... spirit317 Posted January 8, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted January 8, 2009 Thank you for the help. I read in one of my books on Rome (I have about 5 now, time to stop buying books and save for trip) that the high was only 60 and another listed it up to 70. I'm trying to keep the packing down because I get cold and always over pack.
Happy ks Posted January 8, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 8, 2009 Instead of packing heavier clothing, pack light layers to wear under your clothes. A cami top that fits to your skin can keep you warmer than you think! That way you can peel off if you need to.
melanie2009 Posted January 8, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2009 I'd go to one of the online weather sites and check the forecast when it gets a little closer.
