tetons Posted January 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2009 Anyone know if Golden will have new beds at all levels after dry dock?
SeattleCruiselover Posted January 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2009 They just got new beds last year in a good portion of the ship. Doubt they would replace those again so soon....
Atomica Posted January 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2009 ...and the new ones are the ones that are rock-hard :( Maybe they've been tenderized by now...!
Rare annmarz Posted January 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2009 just got off Golden. In all of my 27 cruises, this was the worst bed ever! It may have been replaced last year, or not, but it had been somehow totally ruined anyway - lumpy, sagging and sloping.
helpmesailaway Posted January 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2009 I was on the Star recently after dry dock. the cruise was fantastic - but the bed was ready for replacement. I was sleeping in a hole because it sunk in the middle!
cherylandtk Posted January 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2009 In general, bedding is not replaced during those two week dry/wet docks; they are replaced on a rotating, as-needed basis during the normal passenger switchover at the home ports. So getting new or old bedding just depends on the room and your timing.
