Hey everyone!

I'll be at Nachi in a couple of weeks. :p

I have a question about making the payment on the balance of our reservation. I know that Nachi only accepts cash or traveller's checks but if we decide to pay our balance with cash, does the amount have to be the exact amount or can the staff give change?? (Sorry this sounds stupid but I just want to make sure we're prepared accordingly.)

Thank you!

Good question - it doesnt seem stupid. I would be prepared to have exact $$ plus extra for tips. Maybe you can cash you traveller's checks before leaving for Nachi.

When we went, in January, the lady had a small box and it contained all the cash from people who beat us to Nachi. She is able to make change, as long as you are not the first person there. One thing to note, though. I tried to give her a pretty shabby twenty dollar bill (old and torn abit), and she requested another bill. No big deal. The casino, on the cruise ship, had no problem taking it.

  • 2 weeks later...

How much do you typically tip here? Would like to plan ahead so I have enough cash. It's me (light drinker), DH (moderate drinker), and DS-3 (milk drinker). Any input would be greatly appreciated.:)

5 days until Nachi!!!!!

Couple more questions...DH & I will be snorkeling and our friends parasailing...will any of us need water shoes to perhaps ease getting in and out of the boat??

Also, what are thechances of seeing a sea turtle on the snorkeling excursion...slim to none, 50/50 or absolutely? (Sorry, this is stupid...I'm just excited! haha)

Thank you!!

Two quick questions about the food. I see that there's a 3 course meal, including dessert, but there's no dessert menu. Everyone I've seen comment on the food says that they were too full for dessert, but has anyone actually seen a dessert menu and ordered something? Second, I'm traveling with someone who loves nachos and cheese but doesn't like salsa and guacomole, so would she be able to order nachos and cheese instead? Thanks everyone, I'm so excited to go to Nachi. Bring on August! We've only sent the reservation information request form so haven't heard back about availability, but there's just 3 ships there that day and its 2 months in advance so we're hopeful. If we do book, we'll probably check the roll calls info to see if someone wants to share a taxi.
