sailor38 Posted March 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Anyone having problem searching "Sun" on the NCL forum? I get "sorry nothing found" or something like that when I search NCL forum but see lots of Sun entries? Am I doing something wrong?:(
garycarla Posted March 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2009 Weird - just tried it myself. Maybe we can help. See link below for lots of answers. You can also do a google search and include cruisecritic as a term
bruce282 Posted March 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2009 I'm guessing a search term needs to be 4 characters or more, 3 will not work. On another forum with this same software adding an "*" IE SUN* would work, but I tried it and still no matches. Bruce
Globaliser Posted March 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2009 I'm guessing a search term needs to be 4 characters or more, 3 will not work.I think that's exactly it. Another forum that I use that runs this software had to make a carefully thought-out change to allow three-letter airport codes to be searchable. One partial workaround is to go to Google, and search for "norwegian cruise line sun site:boards.cruisecritic.com". It's not going to be perfect, but it might bring up some useful results. sailor38 Posted March 14, 2009 Author #5 Share Posted March 14, 2009 Thanks all for your advice! I thought I was crazy or something. I can understand the problem with limited characters creating too large a search base. I'll try some of the suggestions you all gave. Great to know that there are so many out there ready to help!:)
