Surprise Refund

We received a $10 refund from NCL today for the Mexican tax which was to take effect in 2009 for every guest sailing on cruise ships. Apparently, the tax will not be implemented until 2010.

Watch your mailbox if you have taken a cruise to Mexico this year. :)

We received a $57 (or so) price adjustment on our upcoming Baltic cruise. No idea why, but the extra 200+ for the 4 of us is a nice surprise. Of course, NCL will be getting it all back, plus some, but they would have gotten it anyway, so absolutely no complaints here.

so that's what the mysterious $10 onboard credits that were on our accounts two weeks ago - another mystery cleared up...

Me too, we had a 10.00 credit on our OBC 2 weeks ago. I had no idea why!

Did any of you who received a refund or additional on board credit book with a travel agent? Or do you only get it if you book with NCL directly?

Thanks

We used an online travel agent and got our refund check yesterday - $5 per person for a cruise we took last October that stopped in Cozumel. I have no idea why others are reporting $10 per person.

I received an email of a $16.00 credit which will show on my credit card. We are scheduled for an upcoming Alaska Cruise. No explanation or if this is per person or per cabin. We went thru a TA.

Was the refund check from NCL or the online agent?

Booked through my PCC. Received a $5pp credit while onboard the Star last month and then received a $10 (total) check in the mail yesterday.

Surprised both times........

Maybe I got two refunds because I took a cruise last October and then again in February.....not sure....

Maybe because we had 2 stops in Mexico, Costa Maya and Cozumel.

We received our $20 check yesterday ($10pp) for the Mexican Riviera cruise that we took on the Sun in Sept.

I believe that the OBC's are given for those who have paid but not yet sailed.

In our case it was nice to get something back for something that had already taken place. Thanks NCL for stepping up and issuing the refunds!

We just returned from our Star Mex. Rivera cruise this past weekend and got $5 pp OBC posted to our account, along with other OBC's that we knew all along, plus, we got cashback from the Casino at Sea program, so we're happy.

What's the Casino at Sea program and how do you get cashback from that!?
