pnjkeith Posted March 26, 2009 #151 Share Posted March 26, 2009 The servers are the only ones losing out. If it says it includes the tip then i am assuming the tip has been paid and l might leave 5-10 bucks extra if the service is excellent. On the other hand if they say of the 60 dollars for a couple 20% of which is the tip i would be inclined to tip a lot more. Great meal with tip included = maybe a extra token tip 5-10 bucks Great meal of which 20% goes to the server (I can do the math this service deserved a whole heck of a lot more then a 12 dollar tip) = a real tip of 40+ bucks. As it stands i dont know which is which.....[/quote What does it matter?! Tip or dont tip? Why do people go on and on and on about every damn dime! This thread has lost any meaning. jessemon Posted March 26, 2009 #152 Share Posted March 26, 2009 The OP asked if the gratuity was included in the tip. I asked John the same thing, in fact this is what I posted: "I've emailed John on this subject. Since I've been sailing ships with supper clubs I've been under the assumption that the tip IS included. It's stated so on the Carnival web site, as Jessemon pointed out. I expect that we'll hear from John on this today and I'll post the answer here." I did not 'offer to clear this up' I said I asked John, I did, he answered. If you don't like his answer I, again, invite you to ask him yourself via the blog. :) Thank you Mach for noticing....Seems funny now after showing what is stated by Carnival on how this supper club thingy is done many still want to debate it over a slip of the tongue by John......
