JDRMYS Posted April 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 5, 2009 In October we will be taking the QM2 from New York to Southampton and the Seabourn Odyssey from Malaga to Ft Lauderdale. In between, we will be on a barge cruise in France and travelling in Spain. We would like to ship our formal clothes directly from the QM2 to the Seabourn Odyessey. Does anyone know that the fact that both Cunard and Seabourn are under the Carnival umbrella make it easier to do this?
Martita B. Posted April 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Sounds like an excellent idea! Contact Anita Mann at Seabourn in Miami as she's the Valet Service Manager for Seabourn. I use this service almost each voyage. She is an expert! See 'ya aboard the Odyssey in Malaga on Halloween ~~ Have fun!:p Martita B.

Margate Cruiser Posted April 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 6, 2009 We shipped from the Spirit in Dubai to the Pride in Ft. Lauderdale. The bag was in our stateroom when we got on board. I am sure she can make the arrangements with Cunard.

JDRMYS Posted April 9, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted April 9, 2009 After many years of cruises and travelling, this trip may well be our last big fling. Age, health and the economy have taken their toll!
Traveling Bob Posted April 17, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 17, 2009 In October we will be taking the QM2 from New York to Southampton and the Seabourn Odyssey from Malaga to Ft Lauderdale. In between, we will be on a barge cruise in France and travelling in Spain. We would like to ship our formal clothes directly from the QM2 to the Seabourn Odyessey. Does anyone know that the fact that both Cunard and Seabourn are under the Carnival umbrella make it easier to do this? In August of 07, we took the QM to Southampton and we were transferring to Princess later that day for a cruise around the UK. Though both are also under the Carnival umbrella, neither was of any help at all. They couldn't even tell me how far it was from the Cunard pier to the Princess pier! The good people at Cruise Critic gave us the info on distance and even how much a taxi should cost. The Cunard staff in the US said that I wouldn't have any place to leave our bagage and the Princess staff said we couldn't check in until 1:00. But when we got to Princess at 9:00 AM, they did check us in and took our bags (even though we couldn't board yet.) So it all worked out, but with no help from the staff under the umbrella. Chairsin Posted April 20, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 20, 2009 Yes, it is quite nice to have your suitcase in your suite when you arrive -- assuming all of your belongings you packed are still in the bag -- which they were not in our case!A half empty bag is hardly convenient.
