Rare cruisestitch Posted April 9, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2009 When we're really tired after a long day, room service is the way to go! You can get whatever's on that night's menu. The buffet is not open at dinner. The alternative dining on the Lido may be an option, but you are supposed to reserve in advance, if I remember right. There are options such as sushi, pasta, pizza, grill, etc but no buffet. They do however have a casual dining alternative in the buffet area but it is done off a menu with waiters. It is not the same menu as in the dining room, reservations are requested but not alway required and there is a $2.00pp cover charge. It is very good and an alternative to the dining room. You also may receive the regular dining room menu delivered to your stateroom during regular dining room hours.
BBsails Posted April 9, 2009 #4 Share Posted April 9, 2009 What is the procedure if you want to do room service for dinner instead of any the other dining options? Do you have to decide ahead of time, or is it possible to ask your cabin steward for a menu around dinner time?

BBsails Posted April 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2009 Thanks, dkj. How long before we want dinner delivered should we ask?
chickaroonie Posted April 11, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 11, 2009 I would check with your room attendant the first day about what time is the deadline for placing a dinner order. We almost missed it the one time we needed it...DH had a late acupunture appt. one afternoon.
Susie51 Posted April 11, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 11, 2009 Be sure to ask ahead of time. I got sick on Hawaii cruise and it took along time to get the menu, place the order and then receive it. The food was delicious and hot.
