Jewel of the Seas soda and water

Recommended Posts

I really don't understand why they say no water or soda but then don't enforce it. There are people on this board who have literally given their packs of soda or water to the porters and it was brought to their room.

Me personally, I had seven cans of Diet Coke in my carry-on back in Feb. Absolutely a non-issue at check-in.

We will be boarding the Jewel later this morning.

I have two 12-Packs of Diet Rite Soda taped together with a little handle of tape and a luggage tag on it. I plan to check it in with the rest of our luggage.

I will let you know if it makes it to our cabin!

Bringing your own water and soda is allowed but I'd not recommend it. The drinking water is available on the ship. It is made by purifying sea water but I could not tell that until the captain told us on the 7th day in a presentation. The crew drinks the same water. They also sell bottles of mineral water for a reasonable charge. For soda, I bought the $4.6 per day soda card in my son's name. You can buy that card on day 1 or 2. Not after that.

This is for Linda (norbertsniece)

I have been reading your posts and enjoy them very much. I thought that some place I read that you had been in cabin 1104 on the Jewel of the Seas. My wife and I are in that cabin March 2010. If you will please tell me how the noise was above on the windjammer balcony I would greatly appreciate it. We are hoping not bad at all but I wanted to ask someone who I think I was actually in that cabin. Thanks very much.....
