TA shows a cabin not listed on cruise lines' website

Sorry, I'm a newb.

 

A internet TA has a nice cabin for a nice price, but it doesn't show listed on the RCI website.

 

Is this common?

 

Has the TA reserved it, hoping someone will book it from him?

 

Or, if I call the RCI number will they have cabin available?

Some TA's buy up "blocks" of cabins---RCI won't have it listed, because the TA "owns" it (for now!) If they don't sell it by a certain date, it will be released back to RCI for re-sale.
