Train tour

We are thinking of booking a cruise with St. Kitts as one of the stops. Carnival offers a train tour, but I was wondering if this was also available as a private excursion?

Oh ya, I forgot to ask...Are there any places to shop near the the cruise ship?

Port Zante is near the pier & there are many shops.

Normally the Train is pretty much marketed through the cruise lines. It is cheaper if it can be booked through other means other than through the ships excursion desk. I am sure others will chime in as to if this is possible.

Does anyone know the cost when booking through the St. Kitts store on line? Carnival charges $79 pp through the excursion desk.
