Monkeythyme Posted May 7, 2009 #126 Share Posted May 7, 2009 Our second cruise on Holiday, October 6th 2006, from the port side of the lido deck, we saw a school of Dolphins jumping in the wake. The cameraman was there too shooting the "synchronized swimming", and they put it on the DVD of the cruise. Now we can play it over and over. I also caught a picture of the sun setting behind the lighthouse as we were leaving Mobile. Sunrises and sunsets on the sea are two of my favorite things, and I can never get enough of them. Each one is unique in its own way.
ddusterr Posted May 7, 2009 #127 Share Posted May 7, 2009 The most awesome thing I've seen from a cruise ship was the green flash at sunset on the Elation, between Grand Turk and Florida! It's real and you might be lucky enough to see it someday, too!
Shipshape7 Posted May 8, 2009 #128 Share Posted May 8, 2009 Sailing into New York Harbor at dawn, under the Verranzano and past the Statue of Liberty. Also late one moonless (so, very dark) night DH and I stood at tip of the bow for over and hour watching a spectacular display of heat lightening. TexasRed Posted May 9, 2009 #129 Share Posted May 9, 2009 Watching the houses get smaller and smaller as we sailed out of Tampa on our first cruise. :)
