George Washington House

Has anyone been to the George Washington House in Bridgetown and know how far it actually is from the pier?

 

I teach American History and would love to connect this to our studies of Washington and Mt. Vernon. We are already on a 5 hour tiami catamaran excursion, so I am not sure if it leaves enough time to catch a taxi and see the house.

 

Anyone who is from Barbados or has seen the house, please chime in if you can help.

It's a 10 min. cab ride from the pier, across the other side of the town

near to Barbados Hilton.

 

It's on BUSH HILL, near the old British Colonial Garrison historic area.

I would highly recommend seeing this attraction. what time does your catamaran trip leave and get back to port and what time does your ship leave?? This may make a difference as to whether or not you have time.
