Hotels at Port Canaveral

Recommended Posts

HI!

Please tell me if you have stayed at a hotel near the port that allows you to leave your car and provides a shuttle to the ship. Is there a charge for leaving your car at the hotel?

Thanks so much! There is always great advice on these boards. I appreciate the help!

All 3 times cruising out of Port Canaveral we always stayed at the Raddisson and loved it, great pool, clean rooms and courteous staff. The restaurant on site is not bad for breakfast and lunch, dinner we went to various places such as Grills. They have a cruise package:

There is also a Residence Inn and a Country Inn and Suites near the Radisson. I would put Cape Canaverl in the hotel website and then call the hotel about the park and cruise packages. I think they both have them. We have been staying at the Radissson and the Residence Inn but DH is in such a hurry to get on the road that we drive the short distance to the port and park.

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites when we went on the Disney Magic last month. The hotel has a cruise package which is slightly higher than the regular room rate, but is still less than a hotel stay and paying to park your car at the port. The package includes a room, parking for you car in the hotel lot and shuttle bus transfers to and from the port. The hotel also offers a breakfast as part of your room rate. Our package price (including taxes) for the one night was about $185. We were lucky and had a room that faced the ports and woke up to the sight of the Carnival Glory docked at the port. You could barely see the top of the Magic's funnels behind the Glory.

We've also used the Radisson Inn and loved it. Using it again for my daughter's cruise at the end of this month. They also have a great full hot breakfast buffet with omelet & waffle stations and bunches of other stuff for about $8.00. They have a shuttle to the port and allow parking.

Enjoy!

Have always stayed at Radisson at the Port when we sail out of Port. Canaveral. No charge to park your car there and have never had any problems. Don't get the breakfast package though. It is nice but not worth the extra you have to pay to get the breakfast. There is a wonder little restaurant (can't remember the name) Greek I believe next door to the Radisson (on the right facing the hotel). They have WONDERFUL food. Everyone one that we have sent there loved it.

I believe we paid $120 the last time for the room. Rates seem to vary, don't know why. Five couples were cruising and we have about four different rates before we called and asked "what's up". Other than that, the Radisson is wonderful and the drop off and pick up is great. VERY little wait if any at all.

I agree with everyone here. The Raddison in Port Canaveral was to us the best. Great pool and a bar at the pool.

The package we had included parking for our car, the room and breakfast the next morning and the shuttle to the port. After your cruise they will be there to pick you up and return you to the hotel to get your car. But you have to sign up for the shuttle. We called about 2 weeks from actually going and had our names put on the shuttle list and was in the first shuttle to go. If you wait till you arrive at the hotel then you get whatever time slots are open for the shuttle. Our opinon was the breakfast was not worth the extra, but it came with our package.

We have also stayed at the Counrty Inn it is just a little closer to the port than Raddison. Both are good hotels and both offer the parking for your car and the shuttle. But you have to ask for that package. I think we paid about 150.00. But again with a room only hotel no parking no shuttle you will pay about 125.00 in prime season in Cocoa Beach. So it is worh it.

You can always take the package and no use the shuttle. You could always take the parking package and call a taxi to the hotel. This way you could get to the port quicker. But we have always gotten to the port and have been onboard by no later than 1 pm. Hope this helps.

I don't know if it's because we are with a group (had to make our own reservations), but we are staying at the Radisson in Nov. for $278.00 and that is for TWO nights in a deluxe room, the breakfast, shuttle and the parking. I thought that was a pretty good deal. Looks like a great place to stay!:)

Are only disappointment is we can't get the shuttle til 1:00, but we're in a suite so ck in on the FOS should be fast. I hope.

Can anyone who has caught the shuttle back to the hotel after the cruise comment on wait time? My fear is that we'll be able to get off the ship early but then have to wait around for the shuttle. We'll have an 8-9 hour drive ahead of us, so I'd rather not have a sizable delay. I'd probably just catch a cab if they're readily available at the port.

Thanks!
