Our room is above a restaurant

I thought I was so careful selecting our room, but I just noticed that we will be above a 24 hour restaurant. Will the noise travel upwards? At least we aren't below it. Should I see if I can change it?

I have never been above or below a restaurant, but I know if it were me, I would probably try to change it, I am a light sleeper....:confused:

I don't think sound carries up as much as it does down. You might not hear a thing.

 

Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same thing. I really don't want to change rooms because it's mid ship on the port side (for Glacier Bay viewing) and near, but not too near, the elevators.
