What are the perks of a Cat 11 Suite?

VIP check in is the only perk I'm aware of. I'm in a cat 11 on the Legend leaving on the 5th. If there's more I'll post but from what I have seen on this board there is nothing unless you are platinum.

The room itself!

Thanks to a bonus my hubby got at work, we sailed in our first Carnival suite last week.

I'm already dreading having to cram ourselves back into a standard oceanview or balcony cabin ;)

It's like flying first class--when you never do it, you don't know what you're missing. Once you've experienced it though, the idea of going back to coach is sad :(

Although you don't get priority debarkation like the Platinum people (where they take you to a special lounge to be escorted off) I think they do assign you a lower number. I seem to remember that once when I was in an 11 we were given a "2" for disembarkation which would be the first group after the "platinums"

That's kind of sad given what other lines provide to suite passengers. :( On the other hand, you're really paying for the extra room which would be really nice.

I have to admit, you have a point.

We sailed in a suite on NCLA for Hawaii and I was blown away with the perks we had--simply for being in the suite, not for being a "platinum" cruiser (it was our first NCL cruise).

We had two butlers, priority reservations for all the specialty dining rooms and the spa; we were able to have a fully cooked, made-to-order breakfast on our balcony one morning, along with priority check in. We also had a "surprise" in our room every night--petit fours once, some flowers another night, etc...

Ultimately, yes, the room is the biggest perk, but when you've shelled out for a suite, it's nice to know you get a few little things along the way that make the experience even more enjoyable than it already is :)

on the other lines the price for a suite is many more dollars then what carnival offers their suites for

IMO.....We do nothing but suites....(Young Empty Nester's) and with all the lines we've done so far Serene is correct .... in fact we did a Garden Villa on the Jewel we had the butlers and concierge and private seating but all in all as you can see Carnival is where we came back too. Why? more bang for the buck and Food is next to none....the closest was Celebrity.
