Panama tourist cards required on cruise ?

Hello there fellow cruisers

 

I have an important question

do the Cruise lines (ie HAL) give out the Panama tourist cards onboard for people going ashore in Panama/GatunLake/Cristobal etc ??

Or are we all exempt even if we are not US citizens?

 

Thankyou to anyone who can answer it or give feedback from similar experiences .... I dont want to be stuck onboard thru any miscommunication with the cruise line !!

We went ashore in Colon ...no cards required.

Cruise passengers have different "rules"..you will need nothing extra for those short stops. At Cristobel, you are only allowed off the ship to go into the "marketplace" there...

..all you need is your ship's pass & photo ID..the same as in any other port.

We have done several HAL cruises where we stopped in Gatun Lake -- never were we given Panama Tourist cards to go ashore.

Also didn't get them when we stopped in Amador.
