I have never been able to see my OBC in the navigator app. I requested and updated statement from HAL and it shows the correct amount of OBC (Stock/AARP) on it.
Yep, that is me, like my morning cuppa before venturing out. Room service is unpredictable. Luckily I have a wonderful husband that will go in search of water for me. Even last time when we were in a Neptune he would go to concierge and get me water, although it was never hot (not his fault).
Royal Caribbean is another line that has had kettles in the rooms. We have sailed on Rhapsody a couple of times and had a kettle. So not only British ships.
We had purchased the prepaid gratuities on our Norway (May) before the last rate rise. It doesn't cover the rise as they simply just add it as OBC and then take out the daily grats each day. Below is an example but not great as we had prepaid for balcony at $15.50 which then went up to $16 but did an upsell to Neptune.
I booked directly online with HAL and haven't received an updated invoice. I did ring today to ask about AARP OBC and they confirmed that they Sharehold OBC was listed.
THere are two steps to it, getting it validated and then applying for the OBC. In the app go to Carnival, then HAL, you should now have the redeem perk button, click on that and fill in your sailing info. Hope this makes sense.
I believe they are but on the Rotterdam in May no bars had them. In fact, we had trouble getting sparkling water in any bar and was lucky to sometimes get soda water.
Trouble with the cans is they can't be resealed and are next to useless for taking off on shoreex.
