  1. I’m approaching final payment and unfortunately my husband’s health is declining so I’m not comfortable with the idea of leaving him. (Cruise was for my daughter and myself.) Since this cruise was supposed be the first real vacation we have had in years I have pre-booked many extras. So my question is, if I cancel the cruise, do all the “extras” automatically get canceled as well or do I need to cancel each item individually? Extras being spa treatments, excursions, laundry packages, etc. Thanks!
  2. While you may not want a new phone just for the Navigator app, you should look into the security of your phone. I’m pretty sure Android 10 is no longer being supported with security updates.
  3. Thanks for the review. I’m sorry the weather was rainy/foggy for most of your cruise. There are so many things you can research and plan for ahead of time to try to have the best experience as possible and then the weather throws a monkey wrench in your plans.
  4. Zeebrugge is very close to Bruges which is an absolutely beautiful city.
  5. I appreciated the info. I learned something.
  6. I grew up on the eastern shore and know a few places that do crab cakes well. (Suicide Bridge in Hurlock, MD is one and Phillips is not one.) I haven’t sailed yet on HAL, first cruise coming up, but the photos I’ve seen has had me questioning them. Deviled crab cakes are similar to boardwalk style crab cakes. They are denser so they stay together if you eat them by hand. Whereas the restaurant style crab cakes are lump crab meat, spices, and just something to bind it together. And now I’m getting hungry and I’m hundreds of miles away😞.
  7. I got it for our cruise on the Zaandam for the cabin upgrade, which makes it worth it IMO. All the other perks are just gravy.
  8. Have you looked at instant ice packs? They aren’t as large but maybe they will work.
  9. The cost may increase as well if it becomes even more in demand.
  10. If I did this, would I take my carry-on to the MDR or just leave it in the cabin, just out of the way so the stewards can clean?
  11. Dutch Day will be the same day as the orange party. My understanding is that the orange party is never held on a dressy night (I could be wrong). So maybe “in place of” referred to the location the chocolate is placed rather than a substitution for the chocolate?
  12. Here is a screen shot of an update that shows part of the original post. Per the admin of the page, who contacted HAL, the info is incorrect.
  13. That isn’t the reason since changing the location people eat doesn’t change the amount of food they eat. It is a staffing issue. Not having to staff in the MDR allows extra hands to help with embarking duties.
  14. But the OP did book a specific cabin.
