I agree with the others, some terminals look like warehouses, have passed through a few ourselves. It happens. Would a more enticing place be better? Perhaps, but typically you spend very little time there. You spend far more time in an airport. As to difficulty finding the disability area, that is probably simply a matter of signage. OK, a little confusing...you have a possible flight at 11:42? Take it. Agree, get a taxi, you can be off the ship easily by 8am. The logistics at Port Everglades are discussed daily on the Florida Departures board. One of the easiest ports in the world to disembark at.

@Philob, you make some good points. Note Princess has a ship there year around...it sails to Hawaii and Mexico during the non-Alaska season.

They definitely can do this, using barges and water "buses" or ferries. They have done it elsewhere.

What ship are you on? Small ships can do this, not large ones.

You can make a 12:05 flight whether you have to go through Immigration (Customs isn't really much of a "thing" any more) or not. Most Immigration now is facial recognition, which takes seconds in most cases. Can you get off fairly early on the process? Either pre-arrange your transport or take taxi or Uber? Remember you will be arriving at FLL in the middle of the crush from Port Everglades as well.
