5,000+ Club (4/15)

  1. Island and Coral aren't tiered sides/wedding cake style like Grand/Gem class ships. Balcony would be same size..
  2. M followed by a numerous and C followed by a number are the Reserve minis and cabana minis. M or C followed by a letter, not Reserve. Deck plan clearly shows which are Reserve and which are not. After mid Oct, 2024 - all the Reserve Minis (M) will switch to Sanctuary Club. The current Reserve Cabana do not switch to Sanctuary Club, they become Cabana Deck Minis, and don't include Reserved dining but donl include the Cabana deck access. If you booked your Reserve Cabana Cabin before April 23, 2024 - you have all the perks included at the time of booking, including Reserve dining... Confusing as heck and dumb to make changes less than 2 months after setting sail that take place months later, and aren't all that clear (seriously, why not just launch it that way, it's not like they dreamed it up in the 6 weeks the ship was sailing!) - but there you go...Sun Princess in a nutshell, lol..
  3. Yes, there's a salad bar in the buffet, several salad options on the MDR menu, Buffet has fruit available all day. Sandwiches and salads, sometimes wraps, at International Cafe. No, the pizzeria on deck is solely pizza, by the slice mainly. Room Service/Ocean Now has salad, sandwiches, fruit plates 24/7. The lido grill has griddled chicken breast sandwiches.. There's a Caesar on the always available menu for dinner. Whether you consider it good - 🤷🏻‍♀️. Caesar isn't exactly a healthy salad choice - that would be oil and vinegar... If you're watching fats... (Or carbs, for that matter)..
  4. Princess absolutely will refund your specialty dining purchase if you cancel aboard and rebook.. it's refunded as refundable OBC, so you could simply cash it out in the casino...
  5. Bringing food aboard is - generally - not an issue. We've brought back family catering for our band friends (singers mom catered a major meal for her daughter and the band), we brought on 4 boxes of food. No questions beyond what smelled so good! Pastries and cheese and chocolate and ham and such on Med sailings. Conch fritters and jerk chicken from Jack's in Turks Accra and chicken & bakes in St Lucia. Ramen for bartender friends. Heck, brought 6 wicked rum punch cocktails back aboard in St Kitts - security held them for us as we went through the metal detectors and gave them back after... Go figure... And so forth... Bringing food OFF the ship is generally a no-no, unless factory sealed/prepackaged - and not seeds or nuts, etc.
  6. On Sun, where S9 and Sanctuary suites are located - the Mimosa breakfast is in the Signature restaurant. When it changes to Sanctuary in October - it remains to be seen how it's handled..
  7. That has not been our experience, on any of our YC cruises. We've specifically asked if we needed to stick around and have been shooed out, told nope not a problem, etc. We've always taken off and come back to a well organized fully unpacked cabin..it's delightful. We do not have valuables in our luggage - those are in the safe immediately upon arrival to the room .
  8. The only discount I've seen on Princess, in more than 20 years of cruising with them, was the old coupon book that had a buy one get one half off for embarkation night at a specialty restaurant. (Or was it buy one get one free? It's been a lot of years since the coupon book itself was an offer. The email coupons - enough said, lol). Princess doesn't have dining packages or sales on their specialty dining options like other lines. Yet. They've been making so many changes in the last 2 years, I wouldn't be surprised to see something along either of those options show up eventually.. Fortunately, Princess specialty dining is still somewhat less expensive than other lines ; but not as much as it was even a year or so ago. And the new pricing on Sun doesn't bode well either . ($45 across the board instead of $35/39).
  9. It varies. Itinerary, ship, time of year, how many may have booked Premier Cruise Package, etc all play a role. My last Caribbean Princess sailing, late 2024, couldn't get into Sabatini's for live or money - although empty tables were there any time I checked, and I checked several times every night.. Generally speaking, they do hold some skits for booking aboard - but they may not be the times and dates you want..the only way to ensure that is to book in advance.. and no, you can't use your OBC in advance for specialty dining.. so, to book it, you have to pay at time of booking.. you could then have it reversed aboard, and it would be refunded to OBC. Kinda defeats the idea of using OBC to book specialty dining though...
  10. Vines Skywalkers Larger balconies like Caribe on Grand class Sofa and shower doors from Sun class aka Sphere class Window seat Oceanview from Sun Splash pad No charge adult only pool and deck space (Retreat, before they surrounded it with cabins like Sky and newer).
  11. Of course. You select all that in your dining set-up. Pick your date, pick private or shared, pick time..
  12. That's the same names and layouts as usual. Nothing has been changed... Their doing away with "Reserve" on Suna nd Star. All will be Sanctuary, with different inclusions (basically, lounge or not?. They'll all be Sanctuary though.. When they'll update the website and details on who gets to eat in which of these two venues - anyone's guess really...
  13. Glitch? Who knows.. you'll be able to add it later, have your TA add it, or buy it aboard. It's a flat $60/80usd per night Plus/Premium, however you book it..
  14. None of the cabins on Island Princess include a bundled Cruise Package. .it's an extra, regardless of what type of cabin. You can add the package at any time, up to and including embarkation day or the day after - at the same price in advance or onboard.. $60/80 Plus/Premier. Add it via app, via cruise personalizer, have your TA add it, buy it aboard.. up to you. Mini-suites don't have any perks to speak of. A glass of sparkling wine upon boarding. Don't let the name mini-suite "suite" fool you. They're not suites. They're just larger cabins than a balcony (although you're looking at the ones with no balcony, lol).. Has a sofa seating area, shower/tub combo, etc.
