  1. Only 4. When we were on Iona in March I sometimes thought we were the only ones using the washing facilities. Never saw anyone use the washing station in The Quays at all. I don’t get it. Sometimes people say they can’t use hand sanitizer as they are allergic to it. Surely they can’t also be allergic to soap and water. Glad you are enjoying Iona, we have been on twice and have 2 more booked.
  2. I’ll be very interested to see if this is operating on our Regal Princess British Isles cruise this summer. We have very different consumer laws here in the UK but I have to admit that we would probably have done the same as the OPs parents. We would have 100% assumed that a company called Princess Promotions was in fact part of the cruise line.
  3. I can’t find this on the Princess UK website. Any idea how to get the info other than using an agent based in the USA?
  4. It will be interesting to see if this is the case when Regal starts sailing out of Southampton on the British Isles cruises. As Cloudyrain says we don’t tend to do this much, maybe a happy birthday banner. However, I expect there will a good number of North Americans (certainly seems to be on our cruise) so it remains to be seen if this will continue to be enforced. Personally I can’t see any harm as long as nothing controversial is displayed.
  5. Thanks. He will be able to board the tender.
  6. This is our first time to Dun Laoghaire. Could you please explain how use the Dart from the cruise port. My husband will be in a wheelchair or using a Rollator. Do you think this will be a big problem?
  7. I understand that they have stopped allowing you take out the obc in the casino. I have no idea how they would police that but I’m sure I’ve seen another post about this subject.
  8. No, when we were renewing the policy it was refused due to medical issues. It was before the new regime.
  9. Staysure only pay out £75pp per claim. However the cruise cover is for the term of the policy and is an add on. Our old Nationwide policy paid £150pp and cost £20pp extra annually. Nationwide no longer allow us cover.
  10. I doubt it. I recently tried to move to a different cabin on our Iona cruise but the new cabin cost less than the original one so the answer was a big fat no. So I can’t see them giving you a refund but it’s definitely worth asking. I didn’t know you could have a Select fare and not choose your cabin.
  11. Glad you are having a good time. Often after a cruise I see a review and have to wonder if we were on the same ship. I believe it’s all to do with expectations. You are not and never will have 5* service on a cruise with the cost of a P&O cruise, especially the newer big ships. However, dirty cabins, rude staff etc etc should be addressed immediately with management and not be allowed to become a social media scenario.
  12. Would you please come back and let me know how it was. We don’t go until August. Thanks
  13. When are you travelling? It would be good to hear your experience.
  14. Previously other US citizens have reported being being redirected to the said online agency when trying to book with P&O. Our US TA told us she is not allowed to book P&O but can book Cunard.
  15. You will get £150 obc for each cruise. I’m pretty sure you would get it for a July cruise as you are within the application limit and I don’t think you have to hold them for any period before claiming as long as you hold 100 shares. I’m no expert at share dealing but there are others on here who will be able advise you.
