  1. Go with the 5 day itinerary. The 3 day will feel like it is over before it has even started. We like more port intensive cruises, but a sprinkling of sea day has become more important. I'm sure it is only coincidence that as I grow older I welcome a sea day to break things up.
  2. You mean the £150 cancellation fee. If it was only the £1 deposit, life would be good! 😀
  3. Sounds interesting. I'm not familiar at all with AWE, but fingers crossed we get that channel.
  4. #2 is a very good question. I had assumed it was the cruise line but really don't know. I think the TA is open to criticism if it is thought they should have caught an obvious error. I cannot tell if that was or was not the case.
  5. Don't get me wrong. It was an obvious and honest mistake. I too would be disappointed (miffed) that the TA and/or cruise line would not cut some slack. Especially if I was a frequent customer.
  6. OP admits it is their honest mistake and I presume their obligation. I can see how the cruise line might give the benefit of the doubt, but they didn't and were not obligated to do so. Op is angry because they didn't get special treatment. Blocking credit cards as a way to do an end run is not a good look, in my opinion.
  7. Interesting question. I don't know the answer. My best guess is they participate in the re-allocation of gratuities form the corporate pool. That of course assumes the "+ gratuity" for non-package drink orders are pooled like other gratuities.
  8. Speedos and anything else with an XS label on an XL person. 😃 Negative attitudes
  9. For longer trips I have a very scientific process: Step one - take clothing items from drawers & closet and put in suitcase. Step two - repeat step 1 until drawers & closet are empty or luggage reaches 50 pounds.
  10. We also moved away from Princess for a while. We are back now and also looking forward to our next Princess cruise (in October). Enjoy!
  11. I sure agree. That is a scary thought. I'm not following what is meant by the others just being random people. Other than weathering the selection process, wouldn't all jurors be random people?
  12. If marital bliss allowed, I would want to pack on Saturday. 🙂
  13. Welcome to Cruise Critic. Seems your options are to (1) research each country's visa requirements by visiting their embassy websites and then making the appropriate applications, or (2) to retain a visa service business. If I needed visas for multiple countries, I would seriously consider option (2). I have never used a visa service so can't speak to the cost or offer any recommendations.
  14. Mrs Ldubs was in a jury selection. The judge asked if anyone had travel plans. Those that said yes were asked to show proof to the bailiff. Mrs Ldubs had the booking info on her iPhone. She received what I guess was a postponement. She was called up again 3 months later.
