Overhead Fred

Does anyone know if HAL still sells their mattresses? If not, does anyone know an equivalent brand/model? I found an old CC thread (2008) discussing this and the were sold online at that time. None of the links seem to be active anymore and I couldn't find anything much in google searches. I vaguely recall seeing them for sale on board many years ago... Anyhoo, we have been thinking of replacing our old mattress and our recent 28 days of sleeping on HAL's "Mariner's Dream" bed convinced us it would be a good choice for us. Any insights are appreciated!

Hi Jacqui! We booked another cruise while onboard the Nieuw Statendam during the recent TA/Canary Islands sailing. It will be 31 days in the Caribbean in 2026: Koningsdam - 14-Jan-26 - 21 day Western & Eastern Caribbean: Mexico & Leeward Islands Followed by Koningsdam - 4-Feb-26 - 10 day Eastern Caribbean: U.S. Virgin Islands & San Juan The second cruise was supposed to be the Southern Caribbean and ABC Islands which would have made a 31 day "Grand Tour" of the Caribbean. They changed it a day or two after I booked due to "port congestion". We will have some repeat ports (St. Thomas, Antigua, and St. Kitts) but we'll also get to St. Croix for the first time.

Mitzi and I are back in Saint Paul safe and sound after 28 days on the Nieuw Statendam. As you might guess from this unusually early posting, our biological clocks need resetting after the long (but uneventful, i.e. no major problems encountered) trip home. The cruise was quite nice and we enjoyed spending time with @sailingdutchy, @Vict0riann, @VMax1700, @ToBe, @cruiseaholic78, @rajkr74, and lots of others from our large roll call!

We went to Keukenhof this morning. It was beautiful as always! Now waiting for sail away from Rotterdam to head to the Canary Islands.

@grapau27 might like this... We had fish and chips for lunch at the Castle Inn next to Bodaim Castle today while on a tour out of Dover.
