  1. By the way, just my opinion, but I would not get the trip insurance offered by the cruise line. You can get it much cheaper if you buy trip insurance on your own, there are several companies that sell it.
  2. I think it would depend on if you booked with a refundable deposit or nonrefundable deposit. If you booked with a nonrefundable deposit, you would lose your deposit money on the cabin you are canceling.
  3. Thanks for the review, looking forward to our Beyond cruise in Sept. About St Thomas…you said you went to Megan’s Bay and then you said don’t bother…I’m confused. Did you not enjoy the beach?
  4. Does anyone have experience with Blackride car service?
  5. Yes, it is Port Everglades although I don’t know the address for that, it should be in your cruise documents. If you’re taking a cab or similar transportation, they would know exactly where to take you. It’s not a problem. At disembarkation it is very easy to leave the ship and get a taxi, they are lined up right outside of the place where you pick up your luggage. Quick and easy.
  6. Yes, I realize this but the OP did not say how many people there will be, just asked for a hotel with 2 bedrooms😊
  7. Look at Residence Inn Port Canaveral. I believe they have a two bedroom suite with a small kitchen and living room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.
  8. My sister had the same problem. She got some medicine from her doctor and started taking it the evening before we boarded. It helped. Also it is a short distance from the parking lot into the terminal where there are restrooms.
  9. Not sure about knives, but I have taken a pair of child scissors, I call them “kindergarten scissors” on several cruises and I’ve never had a problem.
  10. There are envelopes for gratuities should you decide to give extra. Sometimes the cabin attendant leaves them in your cabin or otherwise you can get then at the guest service desk.
  11. Call the hotel and talk to the person at the front desk, they would most likely know the information you want.
  12. I agree, you’re not missing much. Menu is very limited and it’s only during certain hours.
  13. Yes, thank you. We actually booked the Marriott at the senior rate so we’re all set.
  14. Why don’t you fly home from Ft Lauderdale?
