  1. @kazuI do hope they will find what’s causing your pain and start some treatment and quick relief.
  2. Enjoying our lunch BBQ and dance party. The lounge band has folks up and dancing. The nerve of us old folks. The Indian Ocean is churning but short swells so not that much movement. Like I mentioned yesterday dinner with Hotel Director and another talented guest performer tonight. Not many of us but they are keeping us entertained . No diet day here but there definitely will be one after this cruise. Actually sick of eating but it is so good. Thanks for the reports and post. Bruce
  3. It was a great cruise on Journey. We really enjoyed the intensive Spain and France cruises. Enjoy.
  4. I remember the locals lined up on shoreline and after that we docked and not longer after that is where we docked. Small port so figure that is where we docked. We’ve been to so many ports since. I believe we docked in Nantes.
  5. The Onward Atlas Bar team. Marion, Jeffrey and Joemar. The best!
  6. Good morning/afternoon. Our day’s of smooth seas ended last night. Wind was howling, rain and all led to a very rocky ship. Not the best night for star gazing and watching meteor showers with our NASA astronomer lecturer. Attended a briefing this morning for our overland side trip and mini safari. Looks like fun. I was supposed to be getting a much needed pedicure right now but that’s delayed due to podiatrist motion sickness. Set meal dinners tonight and one selection is chautubriand and lobster. Tomorrow night we have been invited to dine with Elizebeth our Hotel Director. More food and of course wine. Just got a call that the spa podiatrist is feeling better. Have a great Sunday and thanks to all who contribute to our Daily. Bruce
  7. Rich it has been quite a journey for you. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us. Sorry we could not connect in Sydney.
  8. Thank you… I’m lost. Rough ride tonight on Onward.
  9. Me thinks you’re right! What a great cruise and experience.
  10. Today we did a short stay in Port Louis, Mauritius. Basically a fuel stop but we did manage to go ashore for a whirlwind tour. Getting ready to sail for another four days at sea before Port Stanley. Last night’s dinner under the stars was nice and we enjoyed a couple songs from the Marky’s.
  11. It’s a beautiful day in Port Louis, Mauritius. Basically came here for fuel but we did manage to take a short excursion where we stopped at a Hindu Temple. Then we visited an old coffee plantation home with beautiful grounds and rooms. Walked around the modern town center. All aboard was 1:30 and we should be sailing at 2:00 PM for another four days at sea. Weather is cooling as we sail further South. Tonight we have a choice of dining in MDR or a grilled seafood dinner in the Patio. Will check out the guest comedian and hope he is better then usual comedy acts. Enjoy the Kentucky Derby which we would normally watch if home. Thank for the reports and post. Bruce
  12. A very nice cocktail party on Sunset verandha accompanied by a beautiful sunset. Pool deck very nicely decorated for tonight’s dinner under the sky.
  13. Nice cocktail party on aft verandha and a beautiful sunset. Goodnight from off Madagascar on the Indian Ocean.
  14. Another day of sailing on the third largest ocean in the world. Tomorrow we get to go ashore as we visit Port Louis in Mauritius. Then it will be four more days of sea before we leave the ship for three days on a mini safari. When that happens there will be only 45 guest left onboard. Tonight we try dining under the skies again and one of the dining options is a filet and half a lobster. Entertainment will be the ship orchestra playing Big Band era music and they will be followed by the Other Guys. Tomorrow’s visit will be mainly for fuel and probably some perishable supplies. We have a ships whirlwind tour of Port Louis as I believe sail away is around 2:00 PM. That’s what’s happening in our neighborhood and we wish you all a good weekend. Thanks for those who keep the Daily running and post. Bruce
