  1. Another example this week onboard the Ovatoon. 6 of us (all strangers) were waiting for the elevator. We could all smell something horribly foul...like a dead animal. One gentleman joked: "I didn't do it!" We all laughed. We decided to call a crew member. He found a "dirty" diaper stuffed inside the garbage canister by the elevator.
  2. If you are in a suite, you will have access to Coastal Kitchen. IMHO, food and service at CK is better than the Main Dining Room. At CK, you'll have free bottled water, sodas, and wine from 11am to 11pm. You'll also have access to the Suite Lounge and Suite Deck. Happy Hour at the Suite Lounge is usually from 5pm-8pm, with complimentary drinks and hor d' vours (sp). The Suite Concierge will email you about a week before your cruise. You can ask additional questions then. * If you are not in a suite...ignore this post.
  3. If prices are about the same...I'd go with the extra night. * Currently onboard Ovation...been on her since NZ...Picton was cancelled due to weather. Arriving in Vancouver today at 2pm. Late arrival due to a medical emergency and timing of low tide.
  4. Certainly a difficult situation...for both the passengers disembarking and boarding. Some will have to check out of their hotels at 11am...and cannot check-in no earlier than 5:30pm...some even later. There will be unhappy passengers disembarking and unhappy passengers before they even board. Having lunch onboard, for new passengers, is out the window. A few may even miss dinner in the main dining room. * Just hoping the best for those disembarking, and those boarding.
  5. Did you bring this up to anyone on the ship?
  6. @Docbizarro Another option to get from Terminal G to Terminal A is to take the free Miami trolley. There is a trolley stop near each terminal. (Terminal G trolly stop... just walk past the parking garage and across the street.) * You must be able to carry your luggage onto the trolley. * From Terminal G, the trolley goes over the bridge and to downtown Miami. It turns around and heads back to Port of Miami...first stop is Terminal A. * If you are not in a hurry, want to be a bit silly, and see downtown Miami...try it. Takes about 45 minutes to do the loop. * Mostly the locals and crew members use it...it's free.
  7. Yes, U S. Air Force. You can clearly see it on the helicopter. * Just hoping that the passenger evacuated is ok.
  8. Many years ago, I called Royal Caribbean and asked: "Do we get 1 or 2 crystal blocks?" She said: "Just 1." I asked: "What if we divorce?" She said: "You can discuss that with your attorney." She added: "You'll probably get the crystal block...your wife will want your money." *True story.
  9. Try the IFly...incredible adrenaline rush. Two70 has breathtaking views of the aft. Bumper cars will bring back childhood memories. You'll love the 4 diamond vouchers you can use almost anywhere, anytime. Yes! As previously stated, doing the muster is easy peasy. * We are currently onboard the Ovation sailing to Vancouver then Alaska.
  10. A bit early but congratulations! Welcome to the Pinnacle Club.
  11. Will we be able to get perks or discounts at All-Inclusive Hard Rock hotels in Cancun or Cabo? Thanks.
  12. No worries...announcements will be be read in English. All crew members know how to speak English. Happy sailing.
  13. Mother Nature is unpredictable. We are currently onboard the Ovation...transpacific. We sailed around New Zealand the first of B4B. The weather was cold and we encountered rough seas...our stop in Picton was cancelled. From Sydney, the weather's been relatively mild...rain in the morning in Raiatea...but it has been warm/hot and sunny the past 14 days. Wonderful weather in Tahiti and Moorea. Expecting more beautiful days sailing into Honolulu.
