Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. On one of my Chase Southwest cards I had a 35$ off $100, along with a couple of the 15% off offers on a couple of my other Chase cards.
  2. We will be leaving on the Westerdam in 27 days to visit our glacier (Hubbard glacier). It was 110 degrees here in Dallas today and I am looking forward to some of that cool Alaska weather. Hoping the Covid testing requirement is removed by then. Have a great cruise and looking forward to your report.
  3. Funny thing was that it rained that Sunday and we were told it was very unusual to have rain during that time. We pretty much stayed on the ship as we were staying over a couple of days after embarkation and had great weather during that time.
  4. Was that on the Oosterdam in December 2019? We were held up for 24 hours and they had to cancel our port in Mazatlan. If I remember correctly, they gave us 100 dollars OBC and returned port fees. Really wanted to go to Mazatlan, but still had a great time (last cruise for us before Covid hit).
  5. Yes, please. We will be on the Westerdam on the August 14 cruise. Thanks.
  6. We are on the Dream now. Came down from Fort Worth on Saturday. Went through Houston about 1 pm and aside from the usual slowdowns (too many cars and not enough road), there were three lanes open all the way to Galveston. Coming back, it looks like I45 goes to one lane after you go over the Galveston causeway, and remains 1 lane for a few miles (some backup, but cars were moving). Whatever you do, do not get off the freeway in that area as you will not be able to get back on for miles and the backup on the access road was very bad.
