  1. Nope, didn't. As noted, per capita, Florida is like many others regarding Covid - no biggie. Yet it's open for business and enjoyable.
  2. Yep, I"ve been to Florida 4X since March 2020 and loved every minute it. Coming from craphole, lockdown, mask-em up Illinois, Florida is a shining light. No worse stats than average yet Florida is open and lively and working.
  3. Vaccinations in some areas seem to be really kicking in. My wife works as a therapist in a school system and got her vaccination last week. She's considered a health care worker by our local health department. My father is 76 and hasn't missed a day at his full time job (plus a lot of OT) working at Walmart this entire Covid ordeal. He gets his shot on the 20th. A little backwards in that priority but better than some places. Don't ask why he works at his age. He's a retired teacher and says he finds working there entertaining and it keeps him busy. I too thi
  4. We had 12:30 check in time. We left our hotel @ 10:35 am, the Residence Inn, just up the road from the terminal. We walked to the terminal, checked our luggage, and went to the early check in line. By 11:35 am we were walking up the ramps to board the ship.
  5. Just going to bump this. Soooooooooooooooooooo many people focus on the negatives. Why? Apparently that's their nature. Glad to hear, and NOT surprised, you had a great time. I know I would.
  6. Thanks OP, Got it on both the Every Day MR card and Marriott. Woot!
  7. I booked early saver and didn’t complete the specific names for months. However, all names were added prior to final payment which is what 1 CSR said was required. That worked for me.
  8. Depending on how you use them and what cards you have, Chase offers fantastic value. Amex can too, especially international flights to Asia, but domestically Chase is better. If you use points strictly for Carnival, cash back cards would work well. If you go this route, you should be including your partner and getting multiple cards/sign up bonuses. I’m surprised WavyChicken hasn’t commented. She’s uses Barclay’s Reward Boost portal (via Carnival Card) to buy many items to increase her Carnival points. It works for her.
  9. It hasn't been 4 years but 3 years for us. My MIL died and my wife was adamant we do 1 last family cruise. Five of us as well, all daughters, 21, 19 and 17. We are also taking my mom. Doing NYE Panorama (her 4th cruise, I think) out of Long Beach. We used to do Disney, then Universal and Carnival (but more Carnival). We've always had a great time.
  10. Exactly. They want to stay away from mom and dad and end up terrorizing other adults. 😜 👿
  11. We had both a Cabana as well as an interior on our med cruise. Fortunately, the Cabanas weren't selling well so I paid a small increase for 1 Cabana (and kept 1 interior). I really liked the Cabana but I wouldn't pay the extra fee over the interior despite liking the Cabana. There was hardly anyone in the patio area and walkway, even other Cabana cruisers were typically absent. But I enjoy the Havana deck area that comes with the interior so the extra money for a Cabana would be saved for either excursions or a down payment on another cruise.
