  1. The official port parking is offsite and provides a shuttle. There is a small parking lot at the pier that is not associated with the port. There is also a garage, but I'm not sure they want cruisers parking there due to the businesses in the area.
  2. I used to watch it, unfortunately I no longer get AWE.
  3. Or you can get the casino to do this.
  4. OK, Sunshine does go out of Norfolk. Unfortunately, I don't know that area. I just wanted to make sure you were going to the right port 🙂
  5. Ahh, I'm not a beach person. I can't think of worse torture than going to the beach.
  6. Obviously the bartenders are happy with their contract or there wouldn't be any bartenders aboard.
  7. It's Disney. There will always be families on board. If the price is right, kids will be pulled out of school.
  8. Is your cruise a real cruise out of Norfolk, or one of the relocated cruises from Baltimore? I only ask because if the latter, keep an eye on things since they are hoping to reopen Baltimore ASAP.
  9. I thought at this point the characters were similar on all of the ships. You'll still have the traditional characters besides the Marvel ones.
  10. For the money it costs to go to the beach on a cruise, I can just sit by the pool on the empty ship.
  11. I've done the Caribbean side. Unless you want to travel to ruins or go to a beach, there isn't much to do in Costa Maya. And I think I'm "Cozumel"'d out.
  12. Assuming there is space available in MTD, yes. I would try to do this ahead of time.
  13. I don't believe the bartenders are tipped based on the drink you buy with your package. To make the math easy, let's say 100 people buy the package and there are 10 bartenders/servers. So, if the daily gratuity for the package is $11.68 per day, that $1168 dollars in the pool. Divided by 10, that's $116.80 per bar person each day. So that's $817.60 per bar person for a 7 day cruise. It would be an accounting nightmare if they had to break up the tips from the package based on the cost of each individual drink.
  14. My understanding is that the gratuities for the packages are split amongst the bar staff. You won't be charged extra. However, if you find a bar tender you like, feel free to give them a George Washington handshake or 2.
