  1. I've heard of the Orange night before, but we've never had one. Now I see that Crew News says "included in all cruises NOW" And we've not been on HAL since 2019. Guess I need to look into what orange clothes we have for our upcoming cruise.
  2. Both kids and adults. Mostly kids, but some adults.
  3. It's totally random. Many times it's the "cute" kids that get picked. No way to set it up in advance.
  4. Typically, if there are DCL sponsored tours leaving early, Oceaneers opens early to accommodate. If your excursions are independent ones, I'm not sure they would.
  5. I'm with Cruisetrekker-I use poncho/water resistant windbreaker. Umbrellas are a pain in the neck in crowds, or if trying to take photos.
  6. Most likely. Just be sure all your reservations are linked.
  7. You're probably thinking of Jim Walker. He specializes in suing cruise lines.
  8. Sort of. 4am in the morning we were awakened by the "7 short, 1 long" blast on the the ship's horn (in the middle of the Pacific). Announcement in room said "get up, get dressed, and wait in your room for further instructions". About 30 minutes later, announcement that there was a small "fire incident" in the engine room and "all is well now."
  9. And, sadly, not everyone is on FB. So, unless FE groups are set up in a number places, people will miss out on them.
  10. All of the FE groups I've participated in were organized on a Disney specific forum, and one here on Cruise Critic.
  11. Definitely for size. Prefer "smaller" ships (no more than 2300 passengers, 1800 is best number). Age - not so much. Generally it's older ships that are smaller.
  12. I loved our Hawaii/Tahiti cruise a few years ago. I'd go again. As for the weather, it just like anywhere, it can be good or bad. Although we had great weather the whole cruise. Sea days, just another day. Not "too much" for me.
