  1. Bearing in mind that the new on line questionnaire was not introduced until very recently, and bookings could have been made 2-3 years before sailing, it is, IMO, incumbent on P&O to advise all potential wheelchair users about this change. In my case only through being a CC user did I know to query this with P&O, I never received any thing from them indicating that I needed to update the medical questionnaire.
  2. We are currently on Princess and if every wheelchair user needed an evacuation chair, then they would need a barge to tow them all and house the extra accommodation for the increase in staff. Princess have no mention of evacuation chairs in their medical questionnaire, which since both are part of Carnival is somewhat concerning.
  3. The only thing that makes whisky drinkable is a large dose of coke! (Don's tin hat)😉
  4. Not really most drink packages include mixers, and soft drinks are free.
  5. A slight addendum to the above, the buffet also serves iced tea and lemonade all day, one side has that, the other has orange and apple juice.
  6. Agreed, I was just commenting on the actual dress of the diners on our cruise.
  7. I have just noticed that the adverts appearing on my phone are now in Spanish, presumably the CC system knows I am cruising the med.
  8. A further comment on what is still standard on Princess but missing on P&O, or at least not automatic. Evening turndown service, including fresh towels and cabin tidying. Two facecloths regularly changed. Body lotion along with shower gel and shampoo/conditioner, in bathrooms Orange juice and Apple juice available all day in the buffet. Soft serve free ice cream available from pool deck kiosk. Iced face cloths brought round pool and sun decks by deck attendants. Cold drinks and iced facecloths on return to ship. Will add if I detect anything else.
  9. Sky Princess sailings from Southampton do still seem to have quite a reasonable number of tuxedos, but jackets and tie, or just shirt and tie are equally acceptable in the MDRs. So go with what makes you feel most comfortable.
  10. One of the early bits of buff we received on our current cruise informed us that a pending charge would be made. So I checked yesterday, and there are no pending charges on my card, so make of that what you will.
  11. If your car only ran on a motorway like cruise ships only sail on the ocean, then that's a better comparison.
  12. I suggest you look at the audited annual accounts if you want the official figures.
  13. We are on Princess at present and the regulars have similar complaints. I appreciate both P&O and Princess are Carnival brands, but I bet Royal Caribbean, Cebrity, MSC, NCL, Saga, Fred etc are all saying the same thing. If cruise lines need to increase revenue to satisfy shareholders, then prices will need to rise, and we have the choice to accept the increase or not.
  14. Until they ask you to drink it all just to check it is water.😯
  15. All banks use an underwriter to provide the insurance and these cover the medical cond6itions. So fat the Nationwide medical excess has been quite reasonable.
