  1. I was on Jewel in March and although she didn't look terrible, she did look "tired" and in need of a spruce up. It sounds like this dry dock will have her back in tip-top shape again.
  2. I have redeemed points many times and the OBC has always showed up within a couple of days. When I first started doing it, I was told that they redeem them in the order of which cruises are happening the soonest meaning they would redeem for a cruise happening soon and a cruise that was happening months away would be redeemed later. But, as I said, mine have always posted within a couple of days and I have redeemed them as far as 6 - 8 months in advance.
  3. I was Jewel in March. I thought it was the Solarium Bistro but I just checked, it's the Solarium Cafe.
  4. Park Cafe on Jewel? Are you thinking of the Solarium Cafe? Op- Cafe Latte-Tudes will also have small sandwiches and other traets from time to time. Hours will vary.
  5. If that happens, there will be a record of whose card was used to open the door. And... I'm sure they won't get too far from the room before a camera picks them up walking with the device. I get that you may be concerned and I suggest you do what you feel you need to do. I have not "hidden" mine for years and feel comfortable continuing to do it this way.
  6. We have had to cancel BOA cards twice in the past because of fraud. Both times the points carried over to the new card.
  7. When we redeem points, it usually only takes a couple days for them to post. It sounds like you're going to use the points for OBC? You could "buy" some OBC now to make sure it gets posted and then "buy" some more after your cc statement posts. The points required to redeem are in 5,000 point increments. It doesn't matter if (as an example) you redeem 20,000 today and 5,000 next week. You'll still have a total of $250 in OBC.
  8. If you're trying to go to the theater, I would avoid going through the casino and Schooner Bar to get there. It gets very narrow and crowded in that section of the Schooner Bar, especially if there is an event (trivia, piano player, etc.) happening in there. IMO, it will be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair. I don't think you'll have issues anywhere else on the ship.
  9. Did you book 3 or 4 people in the cabin or are you just curious about how many it can accomodate? My wife and I were in 8390 on Freedom a few years ago and I think I remember that there were pullman beds in there.
  10. If you sister is sharing a room with you, she can check in with you.
  11. I don't think it's a steak. It looks like a bone at the left end. I'm guessing a pork chop or maybe a lamb chop?
  12. Way back when, I used to put it in a suitcase under the bed or hide it in the closet behind the life jackets. I finally realized that there is no need to hide it anywhere, the only person in our cabin besides us is our room steward and I don't think he'd risk his job to take it. There are also many cameras all over the ship to spot someone walking out with it. The only thing I do to "secure" my device is to make sure it is password protected to turn it on.
  13. I've never put my tablet in the safe and never worried about anything happening to it. And.... nothing has ever happened to it.
  14. I've never experienced that. How does that happen? 😁
  15. I never drink non-alcoholic beverages on the ship so that helps avoid the confusion 😁. Seriously though, I don't drink soda or fresh squeezed O.J. or anything else that has a charge. I drink water, lemonade, coffee etc. These are all free. If I'm ordering a beverage that costs money, it'll have alcohol in it.
