Hertzgog Posted November 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2013 I'm not a smoker, but my friend and I would be interested in an after dinner cigar one evening on our upcoming cruise... Can anyone tell me if there is a Cigar Bar in LOS?
Aquahound Posted November 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2013 Yes. Deck 5, forward, near the entrance to the Sphynx. It's called the Connoisseur Club. It's actually really nice inside.
edjny Posted November 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2013 We had to go past one of these getting to the Diamond 'event' on the Explorer last week. You did not have to read the sign to know what it was... What a stink as we walked by. Luckly the exhaust fans in the hallway sucked the smell out so it did not get too far from the cigar bar entrance. Sorry if some are offended, but those things just stink.... We used the cigar bar on Liberty as a quiet place to read during the day with our son as he would watch the cartoons on the television in there (no one smoking during the day) Maybe Liberty is a newer ship with better extraction as we never smelt anything at all left over from the previous evenings activities. edjny Posted November 8, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) With the DOOR CLOSED?!?!?!? Never happened to me. The only times we were going by was for the Diamond Event. Perhaps there were more people going in/out at that time. BTW, I like your Bill Maher quote.... :) Edited November 8, 2013 by edjny

One day I'll be there... only 61 points to go

Some people have to complain. It's in their nature. The cigar bar is a great place if people like that stay out of it! I hope you enjoy your time there. But watch out, the "Smoke ****s" are coming!!! Elvis The word after "Smoke" that Cruise Critic refuses to print starts with "N", ends with "S", and has "AZI" in the middle!

To the contrary of your insinuation, I have nothing against people smoking cigarettes on their balconies, casino or anyplace else. Used to do that myself. But, many cigars just plain stink. Can't stand the smell of them. The cruise line recognizes that and puts them in a closed room to spare the rest of us. Unfortunately, the stink gets out when the doors open/close. Enough already with your ridiculous N…S..AZI Cruise critic refuses to print this because it is VERY offensive to most people, especially Jews. Knock it off. Your anti-Semitism is showing. Elvis1209 Posted November 12, 2013 #14 Share Posted November 12, 2013 How dare you call me anti-Semitic! If people don't want to be called ****s they shouldn't act like ****s and try to tell everyone else what they can and can't do. All I want is a place to smoke my cigar in peace. Take a chill pill and enjoy your cruise! Elvis If we are ever on a cruise together please have a drink with me and I'll try to convince you that I'm not anti-Semitic, that is unless you have your mind made up already. As far as I'm concerned this subject is closed!

As far as I'm concerned this subject is closed! Ha, just saw this. Ok I'll take your word that you are not anti-Semitic. But please, do note that many people are extraordinarily offended by that word. When you say people shouldn't act like that because of something as ridiculous as smoking it belittles the memory of those who suffered at the hands of those monsters. The Diamond Club is located on deck 14 in the Viking Crown lounge. The Connoisseur Club is located on deck 5 as Merion_Mom pointed out with her posted deck plan. That's where we money dilberts smoke our cigars. We drink our free scotch in the Diamond Club.:D Edited November 23, 2013 by leaveitallbehind
Sherlock43031 Posted November 23, 2013 #19 Share Posted November 23, 2013 really, someone can't walk by a cigar lounge for fear someone might open the door? between the over concern about germs, smoking, rum runners, manners, dress for or against formal nights. poor food/menu in the mdr, chair hogs, seat hogs, bra straps, on and on I'm glad I haven't run into any of you folks. on flight 66 over and 67 back they were 6 ladies (?) who became known as the 'piglets' kept everyone awake the whole flight over and stood in the aisle blocking the flight attendants and anyone trying to get to the restrooms on the way back. On the SOS they would talk over and about whatever was going on. butted in line particularly in the WC, loudly bitch about servers or entertainers. Until they truly interfere with my personal space... if not, then I give LOTS of leeway to other people having fun.
