My husband and I are booked on Celebrity Cruise, May 28th, 12 night Scandinavia & Russia Cruise. Getting there 1 day early...please give hotel recommendations, where you have stayed; one with a great breakfast. Perhaps, in the heart of things...near "Old Town".

We booked the Central Hotel==express train from airport to city central and decent reviews.

Scandic Gamla Stan in the old town

Stockholm and Swedish hotels are certainly known for fantastic breakfast buffets.

This website in Swedish lists some of the best hotel breakfasts in Stockholm. They are not in a best of order and actually one of the last ones on the list is my personal favorite, The Strand Hotel's Herr Julius.

Hi Tx, we're on the same sailing as you and also get in on May 27, we're staying at the Drottnning Orlogshotel near the Old Town. Its reasonably prices with breakfast and also has an elevator.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my need for a hotel name in Stockholm.

This was my first posting on "Cruise Critic"...love all the fast responses and information from fellow cruisers.

Looking forward to meeting all of you, that are going to be on our same cruise: May 28, 2015, Celebrity Silhouette, 12night Scandinavia & Russia.

Thank you "prish" for the reminder about "Roll Call", I will definitely go there.

I need to also decide what tours we are taking; especially in Stockholm, since it is the first port, and in St. Petersburg, which has to be booked before we leave; along with some others.
