Miami Hotel Downtown (shuttle)

Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel downtown (Miami), near shopping and restaurants, that has either free airport to hotel AND/OR hotel to port shuttle services available?

I know of no downtown Miami hotels that offer an airport shuttle. The Hampton Inn Mary Brickell offers a package that includes shuttle service to POM, but I suspect taking a taxi will be cheaper and more convenient.

Taxi from MIA to downtown hotels should be about $25-28; lots of dining options within walking distance of the Hampton Inn.

You might check Hampton-Brickel cruise package. For our Dec. overnights, the cruise rate was a little less than the rate at which I'd initially booked, so I opted for the lower rate. I read that their shuttle to POM is crowded, so we'll probably take a taxi, but I think the cruise rate included a welcome drink in the bar to which I have no objection!

I would not limit yourself to a hotel that includes a shuttle.

Often you have to wait for a very long time for the shuttle and in the end it is built into the price plus it really limits your option. A taxi is around $25.00 to get from airport to many of the downtown Hotels and depending on where you stay around $10.00 to $15.00 to get to the port.

I would look at the following hotels:

Intercontinental

Marriott Marquis

Hampton Inn

Holiday Inn Bayside

Conrad Hilton

Hyatt

Marriott

They are all located near shopping and restaurants.
