Not a guide book, but this is an enjoyable read that will illuminate your voyage around Cape Horn.

There are museums about the Yamana people in Ushuaia and Punta Arenas.

Thanks! Looks like a really good read.

When I looked it up on the laptop this suggestion came up. Must see if I can download it on the kindle.....

Not a guide book but we (group of 4) just returned today from a 31 day LA to Rio cruise around the Horn and all read and greatly enjoyed Rounding the Horn by Dallas Murphy. It gave us a very healthy appreciation for everything from the indigenous peoples to the European explorers to the weather. http://dallasmurphy.com/?page_id=196

someotherguy - just realized that is the book you recommended too!

I have this book, the South American Handbook, over 1500 pages about all of South America, it breaks down what to do in all of the different towns, transport, attractions, hotels etc. Also plenty of good maps https://www.amazon.com/South-American-Handbook-2017-Footprint/dp/1911082027/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1483999273&sr=1-1&keywords=South+American+handbook+2017 one of the longest running guidebooks at over 90 years

My friend & I each downloaded "this" book onto our Kindles & have used it a lot to plan our Chile to Buenos Aires cruise that leaves next month. The book has been helpful.
