Hoyaheel Posted August 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2017 It's very hot & humid - dress accordingly. I wore sundresses most days, husband wore travel shorts (have some great wicking options from Costco last year we adore - a little stretch, zippered pockets...) We did SIN-HKG on Azamara last Nov/Dec with 6 days in SIN ahead of time and 2 days HKG post-cruise. I live in the southern US and thought I could handle the heat & humidity, Whoah. It's just worse! Anyway, only place on our cruise we had to be concerned with coverage was in Bangkok where we toured temples (also, we were there just a couple months after the King died, the country is in official mourning for a year so we tried to dress in somber colors as well). That day I wore ankle length wicking pants, walking sandals, and a linen short sleeve tee. (I had planned to wear a maxi dress with wicking shirt over it to cover my arms but I forgot to pack it - oops!) Husband wore wicking long pants and a wicking tee. We had a private tour so had some a/c in a couple of driving portions, as well as lots of cold water provided.
Trend Posted August 10, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2017 Having been in HK before in those winter months and done Singapore at that time there is a difference in weather. HK in the fall winter can be anywhere for needing just a light sweater in the evening to long sleeve cotton top. As the other poster said Bangkok and Singapore are very humid hot with pollution in Bangkok. I used a silk wrap like for beach wear and tied it around my waist to cover legs and did not wear sleavless

Rare Keith1010 Posted August 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 19, 2017 You will need a range of clothing as mentioned. Hong Kong can be cooler while Singapore very hot. Keith
