Hi,

We are sailing in 2 weeks and one of the stops is Labadee. I know it changed since we've been there few yrs ago. We are traveling w 2.5 yr old and looking for calm, no rocks beach area with shade. I remember once you enter the port you make a right and go all the way to the end and there was a nice are where you also got to see the boat from your beach chairs (not sure if it's still there). I don't feel like spending $200 on the daybed or cabana since it's only 3 of us. Thanks in advance

No need to spend extra money on Labadee (unless you want to). We usually go to Nellie's Beach or Columbus Cove for calm water, which is where you described, on the side of the peninsula facing the ship. We set up loungers under a tree in the shade and stay there all day!

Labadee is an easy DIY day.. With a small child, you will not want to be there all day. Don't rent anything special You can do Labadee without spending a penny, unless you're drinking booze. There are MANY beach areas...lots of loungers...sun and shade...food is there from 11am- 2..or thereabouts...

Come and go at your leisure ....

So the food is provided from 11-2? Where do you get this without going back to the ship?

They have two BBQ areas with picnic tables for the general population, one near Columbus cove (Nellies beach) and the other by Adrenaline beach where the indoor vendor building is right before the path to the coaster.

The third BBQ area is on Barefoot beach a private area for Pinnacle, and suite guest and also some exceptions to the above two groups:rolleyes:

Barefoot beach also includes those guest not pinnacle or in suites if they are invited too a cabama or rented a cabana here.

Safe travels.

there is also a splash park in town square.

the ferry did not run while we were there last week.

you can take the trolleys all the way to columbus cove.

we also ate there and it wasn't crowded, food was great.

don't forget to bring something for kido to play in the water or sand with.
