Beach and Snorkeling?

Will be in Grand Cayman in a couple of weeks and we are looking for a nice beach, preferably with amenities that also has good snorkeling. Last time we did Calico Jacks and the place itself was great...great staff, great food, etc. but the snorkeling just wasn't there if you wanted to actually see anything. Hopeing to find a similar atmosphere with better snorkeling...is it possible?

If you like a deeper snorkell consider Devils Grotto (Eden Rock)

your choice is sand beach or good snorkeling for the most part ... actually I can get two of the three but all three is a problem

Smith's Cove has nice sand beach and good snorkeling but no bar etc ... just a couple of picnic tables and a shower hut

as you've seen 7 Mile beach has 'places' and great sand but not much to see snorkeling over sand

Sunset House has a great bar, pool and snorkeling; but it is "iron shore" so no sand beach . . .

Our group of 6 adults 2 toddlers went to Rum Point. Its beautiful but in hindsight it wasn't worth the logistics to get there and back. We had to rent 2 vehicles which took a long time in office, plus you drive on the left in GC. Its pretty far from pier and we made it back to last tender with only 10 minutes to spare. It took much longer to pay bill etc., and load up everybody than we thought. I didn't think the snorkeling was that great. We would have been better off to just go to the turtle farm and then a nice resort at 7 mile beach. Or do a boat tour that goes there so you just have to show up and enjoy!!
